At around 4:20 p.m. on Oct. 7, officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department were called to the intersection of Hammonds Ferry Road North and Ardmore Road in Linthicum Heights to investigate a two-vehicle crash.

Investigators say that a 34-year-old man from Glen Burnie was riding his 2002 Harley-Davidson Fatboy north on Hammonds Ferry Road when it struck the side of a Camry heading west on Ardmore Road and making a turn into the roadway.

The driver of the Harley was rushed to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries, while his 14-year-old passenger suffered less severe injuries.

Both were wearing helmets, police noted. The driver of the Toyota, a 75-year-old woman, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries that were treated and evaluated.

The crash remains under investigation.
